FAYETTEVILLE – A Fayetteville man was sentenced Friday to a total of more than 20 years in federal prison on one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Arkansas.
Torrance Dejuan Farmer, 51, of North Storer Avenue in Fayetteville was convicted in August after a two-day jury trial in federal court. He was sentenced Friday to 248 months in prison.
Evidence presented in court showed Farmer had an altercation with his daughter over lost drug proceeds on Feb. 13, 2022, and threatened to kill her. A vehicle pursuit through Fayetteville ensued where Farmer ordered his wife, Latoya Marhea Samuels, 45, of West Sweetgum Lane in Fayetteville, to chase his daughter while he brandished a firearm.
