INDIANAPOLIS (WNDU) - Indiana lawmakers will meet after all in December to talk about redistricting after State Senate leaders said multiple times that they didn’t have enough support to redraw congressional maps.
According to our sister station WTHR , House Speaker Todd Huston announced on Tuesday afternoon that the Indiana House will meet on the matter next Monday, Dec. 1. This comes after Huston previously said as the votes to support Indiana Gov. Mike Braun’s call for redistricting.
Shortly after Huston’s announcement, Senate President Pro Tem Rod Bray said the Indiana Senate will reconvene a week later on Dec. 8 to make a final decision “on any redistricting proposal sent from the House.”
Bray’s reversal of course comes a week after the Senate voted to reconvene in January and
