SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The principal of Gadsden Elementary is now facing a DUI charge.

Latasha Quarterman was arrested and charged with DUI and speeding and booked into the Chatham County Detention Center around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday. She bonded out later that day.

We reached out to the Savannah Chatham County Public School System for comment- a spokesperson told us Quarterman reported her own arrest, as is required by district policy.

Quarterman’s duties have not been reassigned, only employees whose job responsibilities require operating a district vehicle have duties reassigned in the event of a DUI.
