MANCHESTER, N.H. —
Manchester schools are dealing with nearly 90 job openings, from transportation and safety roles to nurses and special education staff.
Officials said the district is doubling up some duties and working with colleges and universities to help build a pipeline of candidates.
Longtime Manchester School District crossing guard Jean Valle is working double duty these days outside Jewett Street Elementary School and Manchester School of Technology.
"I just got a double up here, and good thing MST is right around the corner, so it's not that bad," he said.

Valle has been on the job for 12 years and said he doesn't mind helping out.
