KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI — Police said there doesn’t appear to be a danger to the public after the bomb squad was called to investigate a suspicious package left outside a bank.
At 2:22 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, police were called to the Fifth Third Bank at 6040 Stadium Drive in Oshtemo Township.
Preliminary reports indicate an unidentified customer attempted to cash a check and was refused. The customer then left the suspicious package near the bank, police said.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety bomb squad determined no explosives were present, the sheriff’s office said.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has established a person of interest in the case.
