WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) -- Deputies from the Williamson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a stabbing on November 24 after 11 p.m.

The sheriff's office said a male victim was found with a puncture wound to the abdomen. Authorities said Emergency Medical Services also arrived at the scene and treated the victim and released him. The victim was reported having a non-life threatening injury.

Authorities identified Amanda McCabe as the suspect. She was taken into custody and cited with Aggravated Domestic Battery, a Class 2 felony.

McCabe was then taken to the Williamson County Jail.
