Gov. Josh Shapiro on Tuesday joined several states in a lawsuit against the Trump administration over policy changes and proposed cuts in federal housing that state officials say jeopardize $100 million that helps provide housing and prevents homelessness across Pennsylvania, including $17 million in Pittsburgh.
After previously fighting the White House on freezes to federal funding and over public health grants and federal food assistance, the latest lawsuit from the Shapiro administration follows the “abrupt and unlawful overhaul of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Continuum of Care Program,” the governor’s office announced Tuesday.
