SYLVESTER, Wis. (WMTV) - Both individuals killed in a Green County plane crash were from northeast Wisconsin, the Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
The Green County Sheriff’s Office said the two victims are a 43-year-old Oshkosh man and a 41-year-old Omro man.
The Green County Sheriff’s Office extended its condolences to the victims’ families.
The agency said the fixed wing airplane was set to land at Monroe Municipal Airport, but crashed into a gravel quarry on the north side of Highway 59 before it could land.
According to the FAA preliminary report, it is unknown why the Socata TBM-700 crashed.
The plane is registered to a Santa Barbara, California, resident, the FAA said in its report.
