TOWN OF SYLVESTER, Wis. (WBAY/WMTV) - Two men who died after a plane crash in Green County were from Oshkosh and Omro, the county sheriff stated in an update on Tuesday.

The plane crash happened Monday night near Monroe, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff said the two men have been identified as being within the plane at the time of the crash. One person was identified as a 43 year old man from Oshkosh. The other was identified as a 41 year old man from Omro. Their names weren’t released Tuesday.

According to a Facebook post by the Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 5:15 p.m. near the W4600 block of State Highway 59, in the Town of Sylvester.
