Chilling footage has revealed the moment a main wielding a chainsaw chased a police officer down the street in a horror incident last year.

Liridon Kastrati, 32, has now been found guilty of the attempted murder PC Gary Cowan on Tuesday (November 25), following a trial at the High Court in Paisley, in Scotland.

Kastrati brandished the weapon at the officer on Glasgow Road in the Ralston area on May 6, 2024 at about 1.30pm. Footage of the incident shows Kastrati carrying the chainsaw while running down the street in broad daylight chasing the officer.

While a passing car moves away from him, Kastrati can be seen running towards a police officer. The footage then cuts to a police van with a crowd of police officers next to a garden wall as they attempt to restrain Kastrati, the Daily Rec
