KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Two Mexican men pled guilty in federal court Monday for possessing over 50 pounds of methamphetamine.
Pedro Alberto Quiroz Ayala, 22, and Pablo DeJesus Peralta Anguis, 26, each pled guilty to one count of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.
Anguis also pled guilty to one count of unlawful reentry after removal.
The two men were pulled over on I-29 by a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper on Sept. 3, 2024. Ayala did not have a valid driver’s license and was driving with a juvenile girl, Anguis and another individual in the car.
Court documents say when the trooper searched the car, he found a large duffle bag with 55.6 pounds of methamphetamine in it. The trooper also found a grocery bag with approximately one pound of meth on the floorb
