BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - Local doctors are urging Wisconsinites to get vaccinated in order to be protected for the holidays.

Health officials say they expect a pretty robust triple threat this season: RSV, influenza and pneumonia.

Illness seems to ramp up around the holidays. With the weather cooling down and people spending more time indoors, it’s likely you will pick up a cold or two along with some Yuletide.

Rick Counihan came to the Brown County Library with his wife and grandson.

He said his daughter, a third-grade teacher, has been experiencing a lingering cough, but he and his wife have not.

“As a matter of fact, I just got my flu shot yesterday and my second pneumococcal pneumonia. I just had my annual physical yesterday but neither of us have experienced it,” Rick Counihan
