KALAMAZOO, MI — The holiday season is officially here.
Santa has made his first visit to Kalamazoo, the Maple Hill Holiday Parade has wound through the streets of downtown and Thanksgiving meals are being prepped.
If you’re from Kalamazoo, that means the annual tree lighting ceremony and arrival of the Holly Jolly Trolley must be just around the corner.
The festive ceremony, open to all, will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, in Bronson Park, 200 S. Rose St. The lighting of the park will occur at 6 p.m.
The Kalamazoo tradition, believed to have been started in the early 1930s, will feature multiple musical performances, a craft tent for kids, a “sElfie station” for holiday-themed photos and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Attendees will also have a chance to be featured
