TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — A Traverse City man is ready to live debt-free after taking home one of the Michigan Lottery's Lucky For Life top prizes.
Craig Capell, 68, bought his winning ticket at Oleson's Food Store in Traverse City. His ticket matched the five white balls in the Nov. 13 drawing—03-09-16-20-42.
Capell said he always plays Mega Millions and Lotto 47, and buys a Lucky For Life ticket on the days there aren't drawings for the other games.
“I was at the store and realized it was a Lucky For Life day, so I bought my ticket. I was up early the next morning getting ready for a hunting trip and checked my ticket before I left," he said.
He had a hard time believing that he'd actually won.
