RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Raleigh Police Department has announced that Eddie Buffaloe will join as the new Deputy Chief for the Administrative Services Division, starting January 5, 2026.
Buffaloe has over 30 years of law enforcement experience, most recently serving as Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, where he managed over 21,000 employees and 13,000 National Guard members. His career includes roles as police chief, interim city manager, and director of public safety, along with a decade of service in the North Carolina National Guard.
"We are thrilled to welcome a longtime partner with extensive law enforcement experience and a strong commitment to community connections," Raleigh City Manager Marchell Adams-David said.
