Paul Doyle sobs as he pleads guilty to Liverpool parade crash charges
Dashcam footage has shown the moment a driver got "increasingly agitated" before deliberately ploughing into Liverpool FC fans celebrating the club's Premier League victory. Paul Doyle was set to face trial at Liverpool Crown Court over the Water Street incident on Monday May 26, when more than 100 adults and children were injured when his Ford Galaxy ploughed into a crowd of pedestrians.
The 54-year-old, previously of West Derby, initially pled not guilty to 31 charges related to the incident. However he altered his plea on Wednesday, reports the Mirror . Prosecutors said car dashcam footage recorded him becoming agitated as he neared Dale Street and Water Street.
Doyle admitted to 17 counts of
