TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - One man was killed and another arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash near Roger and Flowing Wells in Tucson on Nov. 22.
The Tucson Police Department said 65-year-old Hans Fredrick Morton was hit while crossing the road in the 1200 block of West Roger. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
The TPD said the driver who hit Morton “momentarily checked” on the victim but then fled the scene in a red 2006 Dodge Durango.
On Nov. 25, the TPD identified the driver as 54-year-old Stephan Jud Semak. Semak later turned himself in and was booked on a charge of failure to remain at the scene of a fatal collision.
