GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — Grand Haven fire crews battled windy, wintry conditions when they were called to a structure fire early Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety, it happened in the 1300 block of Kooiman Street in Grand Haven just after 12 p.m.

Officials say everyone was evacuated from the building before emergency personnel arrived. Fire crews worked to protect nearby exposures, and no damage was reported.

Despite the challenging windy conditions, the fire was contained, and no one was injured.

Grand Haven Public Safety was assisted by Grand Haven Township Fire and Rescue, Spring Lake Township Fire Department, Ferrysburg Fire Department, and Trinity EMS.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
