MUSKEGON, Mich. — The city of Muskegon will receive nearly $1.2 million in state funding to help remove lead hazards from eligible homes with Medicaid-enrolled residents, state officials announced.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services awarded Muskegon $1,198,602 as part of more than $8 million in grants distributed statewide to expand residential lead hazard control services. The funding aims to protect vulnerable families from lead exposure in their homes.
