LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Wednesday morning, LMPD and Greater St. Mark Baptist Church continued a 25-year tradition of feeding older residents in need during Thanksgiving.

Pastor William Nelson leads the church; for him, the effort is all about spreading a little goodwill to those who need it.

"It means a lot, because we witness a lot of seniors with nothing to eat during Thanksgiving," Nelson said.

Members of LMPD delivered meals to nine sites across the city. LMPD Chief Paul Humphrey has been volunteering at St. Mark this time of year since long before he was a member of law enforcement. To him, this is an opportunity for his officers to reflect on all they have.
