DALLAS — As family and friends gather to give thanks this week, WFAA is grateful to bring you an update on two little girls in foster care we featured last year as our Wednesday's Child .

This Thanksgiving, not only are they celebrating with their forever family, but there's another beautiful twist to this story.

It is with immense joy that we announce 13-year-old Have'Ana and 10-year-old Layla were officially adopted in August on their adoptive mother's birthday! Their adoption happened exactly one year after being featured as our Wednesday's Child.

She has the voice of an Angel and told us at the time that she preferred to behave like an Angel too.
