MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. - A traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon led to the arrest of a Myrtle Creek woman on multiple drug-related charges, according to Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team officials.
Douglas County authorities said that detectives apprehended 46-year-old Laquita Twete on Tuesday, Nov, 25, after an investigation indicated she was involved in methamphetamine distribution. A traffic stop by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office led to the discovery of 87.1 grams of suspected methamphetamine in Twete's vehicle. The detection was made with the help of K-9 Trapper, a drug detection dog. Detectives executed a search warrant at Twete's residence on Conrad Street, uncovering an additional 3.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a digital scale.
