LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
'Tis the season to score some Black Friday deals, but are consumers expected to spend more or less amid the state of the economy?
One of Louisville’s most popular malls, Oxmoor Center, sees around 5.3 million people each year. A bulk of that foot traffic happens during the holiday season.
"Obviously, this is our Super Bowl," said Paige Moreau, senior general manager of Oxmoor Center and Mall St. Matthews.
Moreau says the crowd they're expecting can get a head start Friday when doors open earlier at 9 in the morning.
"Wear comfortable shoes, stay hydrated and bring your patience," said Moreau. "The traffic on Shelbyville Road is going to be a lot."
As the holiday shopping season kicks off, consumer experts say it likely won't be in high gear on the spending side.
