SHREVEPORT, La. – This week’s Paws to Care featured a dog that has overcome all odds.

Vickie is a 2-year-old Collie mix who is new to the Bossier City animal shelter.

Animal control officers Izabella Shockley and Pebbles, the lead kennel attendant, stopped by KTBS 3 to share more information about the Bossier City animal shelter. Located at 3217 Old Shed Road, the shelter services those in Bossier City and surrounding areas and has over 200 dogs available for adoption.

Vickie came to the Bossier City animal shelter as a stray with a litter of puppies. All her puppies have been sent to rescues to find their furever homes. Now it's Vickie’s turn to find a loving home.
