GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The worst of yesterday’s storm is behind us, but a higher-impact system is on the way this weekend and this one will bring a widespread snowstorm. Unlike the localized nature of lake-effect snow, this system is expected to impact nearly the entire state.
WHAT
A fairly strong low-pressure system will track across Michigan, delivering moderate to heavy snowfall from Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. Snow is expected to become widespread by around 3 p.m. Saturday, intensify to heavy snow by 7 p.m., and continue through the overnight hours. The storm should exit West Michigan by early Sunday afternoon.
