The next storm system is entering the U.S. and heading right for the Great Lakes region.

Let’s get the timing and our first decent look at how much snow may fall.

First off, this is NOT a Mega-snowstorm. It’s a solid snow right at the time when holiday travel is at its peak. It’s also not an isolated, lake-effect snow. It’s a widespread, steady snow. In other words, you won’t be able to drive around it.

Here’s the radar forecast from Saturday morning to Sunday evening. This gives you a great visual of a widespread accumulating snow.

Again I want to emphasize this is a standard, solid snow in the middle of winter. On Thanksgiving weekend, it is a dangerous snow because of all of the cars on the road.
