A city famous for its stunning architecture and rich history, has been revealed as the city in the UK with the worst-rated public toilets. Not only is it home to one of the oldest Gothic cathedrals in Europe, but the city of York also boasts 11 public toilets. Shockingly, they rank at an average of 2.8 stars out of 5 on Google reviews, with 32% of these reviews describing them as dirty. Experts at BusinessWaste.co.uk ranked the public toilets in each city through Google Review data and calcuated hygiene ratings based on the number of times the words clean or dirty were used in a review.
