Anchorage is set to continue a beloved 30-plus-year holiday tradition this weekend with performances of The Nutcracker. Families can follow Clara on her magical journey to the Land of Sweets as dancers bring this classic story to life at the Alaska Center for Performing Arts.
The performances will be accompanied by live music from the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, adding to the festive atmosphere. Jason Hodges of the Anchorage Concert Association shared, “You can expect the beautiful music. You can expect the dancing. You can expect to see all the kids from across the community dancing on stage, to all the wonderful numbers that you’ve grown to love. It’s just a magical event and a great way to get yourself into the holiday mood.”
