Anchorage is getting ready to officially ring in the holiday season with its annual Christmas tree lighting in Town Square Park. The celebration kicks off this Saturday at 6:15 p.m. sharp in the heart of downtown.
Families can enjoy a night of festive fun with live music, free hot chocolate, and a holiday craft fair. And of course, a special guest dressed in red — along with his reindeer — will be making an appearance to spread some cheer.
“This has been a tradition for over 50 years, and it is a joy for a lot of families, something they look forward to year-round,” said Erin Gallagher with the Anchorage Downtown Partnership.
The Town Square tree will remain decorated and lit throughout the holiday season, but if you want to be there for that magical first lighting, make sure to head do
