COLUMBIA — A 46-year-old man is dead after a shooting Wednesday on Triple Crown Drive in Columbia, Columbia Police Department spokesperson Colin Imhoff told KOMU 8 News.
The parties involved have been detained, and there is no active threat to the public, Imhoff said.
KOMU 8 News saw about half a dozen police vehicles at the scene around 7 p.m.
Police had to wait to obtain a search warrant until detectives could enter the home the deceased man was in. Crime scene investigators arrived at the scene just before 8:30p.m.. Imhoff said CPD had obtained a search warrant from a judge at that point and detectives were inside the house investigating.
