ORANGE COVE, Calif. (KFSN) -- One person has died following a shooting in Orange Cove on Thanksgiving.

It happened just before 2 pm in the area of 9th and J streets.

When authorities arrived, they found the victim with a gunshot wound.

They were declared dead at the scene.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation.

No details on what led to the shooting have been released.

The victim's identity has not been released.
