MADISON, Wis. -- A man who was pulled from Lake Monona Thursday afternoon died, the Dane County Sheriff's Office said.
Dane County deputies and the Madison Fire Department responded to the lake at around 2 p.m. for a report of an unconscious person in the water near North Shore Drive.
A man was pulled from the water and pronounced dead at the scene. Information about him including his name, race and gender was being withheld pending the notification of his family.
The man's death remains under investigation.
