A man who stabbed his mother’s friend to death before sexually assaulting her has been jailed.
Ernesta Juska, 21, was sentenced today at Maidstone Crown Court after pleading guilty to murdering a woman in her sleep.
Family friend Nina Denisova, 39, was found by the emergency services at Juska’s home in Henderson Drive, Dartford , shortly before 7am on Saturday, August 17, last year.
The court heard how the death of the Lithuanian national had left a “big hole” in the lives of her family. A victim statement written by her brother Aleksandras was read to the court by prosecutor Danny Moore KC.
“Our life has never been the same again,” it read.
Mr Moore told the court how Juska knew Miss Denisova and had previously “tried it on” with her when he was 16 years old, only to be “rebuffed”.
