A pupil posted a chilling video of himself firing a gun and warned a classmate that he planned to "shoot up the school." ‌

The 16-year-old then brought the weapon into the classroom and other pupils were terrified when they saw him remove it from his backpack. ‌

Patrikas Jakstas , now 18, Jakstas, admitted a charge of threatening behaviour at his city home, at a named high school and elsewhere, on occasions between 1 and 29 February 2024. ‌

Jakstas, from Perth, appeared at Perth Sheriff Court and admitted making a threat of violence and sending a video of himself discharging the gun to three children, aged 14, 16 and 17.

He appeared in the dock alongside his father Edgaras Jakstas, 45, who admitted possessing the gun , which he had bought legally at a shop
