Almost every one of us offered a prayer when we sat down at the Thanksgiving table yesterday. It was an opportunity to say the motzi or maybe a prayer like … thank you God for the food we are about to eat – for being together with family and friends – for living in this blessed country – for the return from Gaza of all the living hostages and almost all of the deceased hostages – for a resilient Jewish people and state of Israel – for health – for liberty and freedom.
