The suspected Afghan terrorist accused of executing one National Guard soldier and leaving another clinging to life will now face upgraded murder charges, US Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro said Friday.

Pirro vowed to ensure the suspect, Rahmanullah Lakanwal , would pay the “ultimate price” over the ambush attack that left 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom dead and her fellow Guardsman, Andrew Wolfe, 24, critically wounded.

“There are certainly many more charges to come, but we are upgrading the initial charges of assault, to murder in the first degree,” Pirro told “Fox & Friends.”
