ROLESVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- An investigation is underway following a crash on Thanksgiving Day involving a Rolesville police officer.
Around 10:12 p.m., the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said they responded to a collision on Louisburg Road/US-401 near NC-96 in Rolesville.
An officer was conducting a traffic stop when his patrol car was rear-ended by a Chevy Blazer that was traveling north on US-401, troopers told ABC11.
The officer, who was inside the vehicle with activated lights, was not injured. The vehicle he had pulled over was not involved in the collision.
The driver of the Chevy Blazer was taken to a hospital for treatment. He was arrested and charged with driving while impaired, drive while license revoked, reckless driving, expired registration, expired inspection and f
