MADISON, Wis. — Madison and Fitchburg union Starbucks baristas will join a picket line in support of the ongoing unfair labor practice strike , the longest in company history, a spokesperson for Starbucks Workers United said to Channel3000.com .

These baristas are set to protest the company for a "failure to finalize a fair union contract." The strike was called by Workers United, the union tied to Starbucks, which said that to date, it has filed more than 1,000 unfair labor practices (ULPs), including more than 125 since January 2025.

With the addition of hundreds of new union baristas, 2,500 baristas from over 120 stores across 85 cities are now engaged in the Red Cup Rebellion that began on Red Cup Day, Nov. 13 and expanded on Nov. 20 , according to organizers.
