QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) - Cities throughout the Quad Cities area have issued snow emergencies ahead of the forecasted weekend winter storm.
The KWQC First Alert Weather Team is tracking the major winter storm with snowfall totals as high as 14″+ possible in some areas.
The following cities/towns have issued a Snow Emergency:
Illinois :
Rock Falls:
Rock Falls officials issued a snow emergency effective from 6 p.m. Friday - 6 p.m. Monday.
During a snow emergency, city officials said, no parking is permitted on any designated Snow Routes. Also, until snow has been removed from all other streets odd/even parking restrictions apply.
City officials said crews will be plowing from 4 a.m. - 8 p.m. If conditions warrant arrangements have been made for crews to come out sooner.
