Greenock Morton have issued a statement on a widely circulating voice note which made concerning claims about the nature of Dougie Imrie's exit – saying its contents do not 'accurately represent the events that have taken place.' ‌

Imrie was today formally unveiled as Raith Rovers manager, bringing to an end almost four years at Morton, after Record Sport first revealed on Monday that the Kirkcaldy club were closing in on the appointment. ‌

A deal was quickly struck and Raith announced the deal on Tuesday, with Imrie set for his dugout debut against Alloa in the Scottish Cup this weekend. ‌
