OHIO, USA — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers announced the results of its 12th annual "Lights for Lives" traffic enforcement operation, which it conducts in an effort to combat dangerous driving during the holiday season.
According to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the agency collaborated with law enforcement agencies across northwest Ohio to help save lives on the roadways across the following counties:
Williams
Fulton
Lucas
Defiance
Henry
Wood
Putnam
Paulding
Hancock
Van Wert
Allen
Hardin
Law enforcement began the campaign on Nov. 24 at 6 a.m. and concluded it on Nov. 26 at 6 a.m., a period it said kicked off the holiday driving season.
The operation resulted in the following, OSHP said the operation resulted in 692 vehicles stopped and 230 citations
