GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A downtown Greenville intersection will close for a week as crews work on a resurfacing project.
The City of Greenville says construction work on South Greene Street and West First Street is set to begin Monday.
The project will take approximately a week to complete, depending on the weather.
Work will start on the right lane, during which traffic will be confined to the left lane.
Once work on the right lane is complete, crews will reopen it and close the left lane for resurfacing.
Drivers are asked to be cautious while traveling through the work zones.
The project is part of supplementary work on detour routes related to the BUILD Project.
It’s being completed using funds that were left over from the BUILD Project after it was completed under budget.
