Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday he offered the Jets former star defensive end Micah Parsons and a first-round pick for Quinnen Williams during training camp.

“A one and Parsons for Williams,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan. “I thought that much of Williams.”

This appears to be a bit of an exaggeration, though, for a myriad of reasons, namely that he claimed the opposite earlier this year in an interview with ESPN Radio .

Jones previously said that he wanted to acquire Williams and picks from the Jets for Parsons, a deal that makes much more sense
