CINCINNATI —
A 16-year-old was taken to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center after a crash involving a stolen car on Wednesday night.
Hamilton County deputies initiated a traffic stop on a stolen Honda Civic near the Kenwood Towne Center, around 8:47 p.m. Wednesday. Advertisement
The driver of the stolen car didn’t comply and went on to southbound Interstate-71, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
The driver of the car continued to the Highland Avenue exit in Columbia Township, where the car went off the road, crashed into a sign and went down an embankment into a brush.
The 16-year-old driver was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital to be treated for an ankle injury, before being taken into custody.
