CINCINNATI —

The countdown to Christmas is on in Cincinnati with the annual Light Up the Square show Friday night.

Thousands will gather at Fountain Square Friday night to watch the city's massive tree come to life with beautiful lights, incredible performances and more holiday fun. Advertisement

Watch the live broadcast of Light Up the Square in the video player at the top of the story, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Hosts Kelly Rippin, Steven Albritton and Megan Mitchell will walk you through all the festivities at Fountain Square and Elm Street Plaza before we light up the tree.

The hour-long show will begin at 6:30 p.m. on WLWT, culminating in the tree lighting and fireworks show.
