Three people have been arrested on suspicion of breaking into the Olalla Post Office and several other federal facilities around the region last year.
A 36-year-old man from Tacoma appeared in court on Wednesday, Nov 26 facing charges of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft as the alleged leader of a trio of men behind a series of post office break-ins spanning Kitsap, Thurston, Pierce, King, and Island Counties last July.
U.S. Attorney Neil Floyd announced the trio face federal charges "for their post office burglary scheme," in an announcement. The alleged leader, Justin Tate, was sentenced for an unrelated crime in Kitsap County on Tuesday before transferring into federal custody to appear at the U.S. District Court in Tacoma on charges coming from a federal indictment in May.
