Winter Storm Warnings have now been raised across half of the Lower Peninsula ahead of Saturday’s incoming storm system, which is expected to bring snow across the state. Snowfall is forecast to be heavy in the areas covered by the Winter Storm Warning, which is shaded pink on the National Weather Service map above.
The Winter Storm Warning covers 31 counties. It stretches from Pentwater on the Lake Michigan shoreline, east to Big Rapids and Clare, and ending at the tip of Saginaw Bay. It also encompasses all points south, including Holland, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor and Jackson.
Detroit and The Thumb area remain under a Winter Weather Advisory.
