Two people who were killed in a head-on crash, that critically injured two others, have been identified, authorities announced on Saturday, Nov. 29.
The collision happened at Lampeter Road and Paramount Avenue in Lampeter Township at 9:41 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, according to West Lampeter Township Police.
First responders arrived to find a white Honda Civic and a white Nissan sedan with heavy front-end damage. The male driver of the Honda and a female passenger in the Nissan were both pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has identified the male driver as 25-year-old Luke Debruin of East Lampeter Township, who was pronounced dead at 11:48 p.m. on Nov. 28, according to the release.
The female passenger was identified as 64-year-old Terry Thomas of Hamburg, PA, who was also pronounced dead at 11:48 p.m. on Nov. 28, the coroner added.
Both deaths remain pending investigation, according to the coroner reports.
A second female and a male from the Nissan were taken to Lancaster General Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Lampeter Road was closed for several hours as the Lancaster County Crash Investigation Team processed the scene, authorities reported.
The crash remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact West Lampeter Township Police at 717-464-2421, police said.
