ST. PAUL — Dominic Gooden scored 25 of his game-high 27 points in the second half to spark Minnesota State Moorhead to a 78-68 victory against Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday in a nonconference Division II men's basketball at the CSP Holiday tournament.
The Dragons (4-2) have won four consecutive games. The game didn't count in the NSIC standings.
The 6-foot-1 Gooden shot 75% (8 of 12) from the floor in the second half, including six 3-pointers. Isa El-Amin added 13 point for MSUM.
The Dragons next play No. 21-ranked Concordia-St. Paul at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, on the second day of the Thanksgiving tournament.
