CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The first of two opportunities for ice accumulation arrives across the North Carolina mountains tonight. Although impacts look to be extremely low, our team wants folks to be weather alert and use caution on the roadways.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place Sunday morning for Ashe, Watauga, Avery, Greater Caldwell, and Greater Burke counties.
Sunday 2 a.m. to 9 a.m.
There is a risk for a light glaze across Ashe, Watauga, Avery, Greater Caldwell, and Greater Burke counties.. Icing may create slippery conditions on roads, bridges and sidewalks.
